The César Chávez Scholarship Fund was established in RI in 2000 to honor the well-known Latino and civil rights labor leader, César Chávez. We encourage and promote service and learn community projects among the young people of Rhode Island. We offer mini-grants and scholarships to junior high and high school students. We also offer stipends and mini-grants to students enrolled in college.

The only scholarship award that we offer is for undocumented students. We invite all undocumented high school Seniors in RI to apply for the Tam Tran Scholarship.

Our Mini-Grant Program is open to all students in Rhode Island. Undocumented students are also invited to apply for our mini-grants.

NOTICE: The deadline to submit for the Tam Tran Scholarship is Friday, February 17, 2017. Go here for FAQs and more details
