The César Chávez Scholarship Fund was established in RI in 2000 to honor the well-known Latino and civil rights labor leader, César Chávez. We encourage and promote service and learn community projects among the young people of Rhode Island. We offer mini-grants and scholarships to junior high and high school students. We also offer stipends and mini-grants to students enrolled in college.

The only scholarship award that we offer is for undocumented students. We invite all undocumented high school Seniors and undocumented students currently enrolled in a Rhode Island college or university to apply for the Tam Tran Scholarship.

Our Mini-Grant Program is open to all students in Rhode Island. Undocumented students are also invited to apply for our mini-grants.

NOTICE: The deadline to submit for the Tam Tran Scholarship has passed.
